Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Once Upon A Leaf, LLC collects through onceuponaleaf.net, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We have tried to write it in plain English rather than legal boilerplate.
1. Who we are
Once Upon A Leaf, LLC ("Once Upon A Leaf," "we," "us," or "our") is a seasonal leaf removal and yard cleanup business serving homeowners in Walton, Barrow and Jackson Counties, Georgia. We are the party responsible for the information described in this policy.
This policy covers the website at onceuponaleaf.net. It does not cover any third-party website you may reach by following a link from ours.
2. Information you give us
The quote form on our website asks for the following. Every field is optional — you decide how much to tell us, though the more you share the more accurate your quote will be.
- Which service you are interested in
- Your name
- The property address where you would like work performed
- Your email address
- Your phone number
- Notes about your yard — anything you choose to write in the free-text box
We also receive whatever you choose to tell us if you call, text or email us directly.
3. Information collected automatically
Like essentially every website, ours records standard technical information about requests in order to deliver pages and to protect against attacks and abuse. This typically includes:
- Your IP address
- Your browser type and operating system (the "user agent" your browser reports)
- The page or file you requested and the date and time you requested it
- The page that referred you, if any
We do not use this information to build a profile of you, and we do not combine it with the details you submit through the quote form.
4. How we use your information
We use what you send us only to run our business, specifically to:
- Prepare and send you a quote
- Contact you about your request, by phone, text or email
- Schedule, perform and follow up on the work you hire us to do
- Keep ordinary business and tax records
- Detect and prevent spam and abuse of our form
- Comply with the law when we are legally required to
5. How long we keep it
We keep quote requests for as long as we need them to respond to you and to maintain reasonable business, accounting and tax records. Where a request does not turn into work, we discard it once it is clearly no longer relevant. You can ask us to delete your information sooner — see section 6.
6. Your choices and rights
You may contact us at any time to:
- Ask what information about you we hold
- Ask us to correct anything that is wrong
- Ask us to delete what we hold about you
- Tell us to stop contacting you
Call or text us at 706-870-8870. We aim to respond within thirty days. We may need to ask a question or two to confirm who you are before acting on a request, and we may need to keep certain records where the law requires it.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional statutory privacy rights. We honour verified requests of the kinds listed above regardless of where you live, which is simpler for everyone than working out which statute applies.
7. Children's privacy
This website is intended for adults arranging services for property they own or manage. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Do Not Track
Some browsers can send a "Do Not Track" signal. There is still no common industry standard for how sites should respond to it. Because we do not track visitors across websites in the first place, there is nothing for the signal to switch off — the outcome is the same either way.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information — for example if we ever add analytics or online booking — we will update this page and change the "last updated" date at the top. Material changes will be noted on the page. Please check back from time to time.
